yup i had a tour ahead of quite a few ppl whose constant chatter of going here there, i donno... kinda everywhere in these December holidays got me in the mood. So i packed my rucksack and headed for a quick backpack trip to Agra and Fatehpur Sikri.
But beyond all my expectations the trip turned out to be a hell lot convenient as well as luxurious. My (ex), i mean, my ex roomie at hostel (Antriksh) made it all possible with all the reservations and those gourmet dinners and a fabulous 5 star stay at Mansingh palace... Aah! i can only sigh now at all the amenities and those palatable buffet breakfasts...
and the trip to taj also turned out really spell binding. Gosh! the monument of love was better than all i had seen in TV or its perception in my thoughts... well i missed my photograph at the lovers bench... for all the obvious reasons (read as no gf)... but i got pics...

Agra..is a nice place. I remember..I had a stay at the Taj(Not mahal...wow..that would have been special though, and turned out we cant stay there...only our bodies can!)..and remember the complimentry buffet breakfast we had. Had bacon there the first time...
So...u didnt tell bou tthis at all....? whats that bout? :D

@nigam: mast! the trip was not pakka till a day before... due to vacillating responses from ppl who had the choice of going... in fact it was only a day before going, that my own participation was confirmed...
and i did tell you bout it... after i came back "i was traveling..."- i told you...

u certainly did a lot better than us ppl.......we are going to no-so-happening dehradun and maybe other places......and staying in some ashram........not mansingh.......
looks like someone had a nice time!! i went to agra some aeons back..so i'll take ur word, it looks just as good :)

@ Anchal: i disagree on that... stay hrdly makes a difference (the free breakfast does ;) lol!) ... its rather company of frnds... infact, we travelled by second class on the train from delhi to agra. it was not that cosy in that coach but i guess i still would consider it the best part of the tour cause o the fact that we had loads o masti talkin our way till agra...
@ Shivani: lol! just got lucky with the stay at mansingh. btw as i said in the post it was a frnd (antriksh) who should be thanked for all that stay n bfast n dinners...
